Anthony Joshua Knocks Out Povetkin To Keep His IBF, WBA and WBO Heavyweight Titles

British Nigerian Boxer and World Heavyweight champion, Anthony Joshua has beaten Russian challenger, Alexander Povetkin to retain his IBF, WBA and WBO heavyweight titles.

After a shaky first round, which saw Joshua bleeding from the nose, the Briton recovered quickly as he took the fight to Povetkin. The fight lasted until the 7th round before he technically knocked his opponent out in front of over 68,000 viewers at Wembley stadium.

With this win, Joshua takes his career record to22 career wins and 0 losses.

After the fight, Joshua identified his ideal next three fights. “In order, I’d like Deontay Wilder, Tyson Fury and then Dillian Whyte,” said the 28-year-old,

Wilder who is the current WBC champion has 40 career wins and no losses and if Joshua beats him, he will become the unified heavyweight champion.
