After a long silence, self-acclaimed leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, has reiterated his fight for the sovereignty of Biafra, adding that Biafrans will not partake in the any election of Nigeria.

Kanu further decreed that South East or South South Nigeria was henceforth to be known as Biafra adding that this stance not to partake in Nigeria’s election remained unchanged except a referendum was conducted.

Kanu’s assertions were quoted in a series of tweets by commentator, Kayode Ogundamisi, @ogundamisi, of Kanu’s live broadcast aired on Sunday evening.

Speaking further, Kanu rubbished notions that he jumped bail on September 14, 2017, stating he left the country due to lack of trust for fairness and equity by Nigerian courts and purported plans by the Nigerian government to eliminate him.
